I have shared 'Valuing Critical Thinking and Inquiry' with my teaching team. Teaching Questioning skills to Junior students is critical. We use the Solo Taxonomy levels of questioning and the strategies in this reading adds a further dimension to this.
ReplyDeleteI am sharing 'Valuing Critical Thinking and Inquiry' with our Senior Team and a couple of teachers who have teacher inquiries which relate to some of the issues raised in this reading. I liked the prompts it provided in reading and thought that was helpful for teachers to see clear examples of what is suggested. Supporting students so they can ask deep thinking questions is an area we are always looking to develop and this reading is a helpful way to frame our thinking.
